1. These woods are scarey. I hope we don't run into the cast from "Deliverance."
2. Keep your wits about you.
3. I must be true to my convictions.
4. I need to spice my life up a bit.
5. A little smile. A little laugh. A little duckie in my bath.
6. Okay, okay....I GET it!!
Me & my Brother, was walking through the woods. We had gone fishing, in an old Pond. Not far off the road. He had mentioned that he wanted to go check it out. So we brought our Fishing Poles, for an evening of fishing. And mostly just hanging out.
We start back, nearly dark. The time had gotten away from us. So, it's getting late as we had back to the Car. It was a decent little stroll, to where the car was parked. So he calls his Wife.
"Hey Hun,... yeah. Listen. We're gonna be alittle later than I thought". He pauses, then calmly speaks once more.
"Okay,....Okay,.... I get it..... Love you too".
I thought about trying to make the walk more interesting. So I causually mentioned, "Uh, these woods are scarey. I hope we don't run into the cast from "Deliverence"?
My Brother, looks over with a smirkly little grin."Huh, now Brother. Keeps your wits about you! This is 2007. They don't have Country Hicks like that anymore".
I paused, as I was walking. Seeing what I had gotten myself into. "You know", I said as we kept walking." I need to spice up my life".
A bit shocked, my Brother, once again looks at me with that same ol' smirk. "Spice up your life? How you gonna do that?"
Before I could get a word in edgewise. He comes back, "Just what do you paln to do when you get home, tonight?"
I glanced out over the scenery. And thought of being just as smarty-pants as he was. " Go see my Girlfriend"
"Yeah?", he responds quickly. "And do what?" as he giggled under his breath.
"I don't know. A little smile. A little laugh. A littel duckie in my bath. This trip has got me filthy!"
"And how are you gonna get to this point? She don't want you over there. Being this dirty. She told you that, last week." He says, as the truth brings reality back to me.
"Ah yeah, that's right", I claimed. "But I need to keep my wits about me. If she really cares about me? She'll let me in. And we'll be together tonight. And everything will be okay-fine".
About at that very moment. We arrive at the car. A bit bewildered, from a few hours of fishing. And too tired, from a good long walk. But really enjoying a time to spend with Family.
