When a carpet is replaced, is spraying a light mist of tea tree onto the floorboards a bad idea?
The aim is to fight invisible baddies like bacteria and mould, but would just a spray actually be harmful because it would make the wood very slightly wet?
(I haven't got the tea tree oil yet, so just an idea!)
I think it sounds like a great idea. I might even put some colloidal silver down first, or hydrogen peroxide...if it bubbles, it means you've got mold or bacteria there.
Of course let it dry very well before putting new carpet down. I'd use an electric heater to make sure it's very dry.
