how do you fix battery acid from a ray o vac lantern/flashlight?
the ray o vac had batteries that stayed in there for five years and they leaked out a nightmare:Battery Acid! I'll describe it:
-rust
-wire has rust
-battery parts rusted off
-metal rusted off
if you can please tell me what to do to get it working again,i will choose you as best answer.to be chosen best answer,you have to give the most detail on how to fix it.
See if you can read the warranty on the battery. If it says that they will fix or replace any device that is damaged as a result of leakage, then I would contact them and send it back to them. I have done this for flashlights and other electronic devices, i.e. mailed it back to them (the batteries and the damaged device) with a letter of explaination or decription. They have always sent me back the replacement device or a credit for the purchase of another.
