Candle light bulbs keep blowing, now lamp wont turn on!?
In about 2 yrs i have replaced about 8 bulbs in the same fixing which is a candle style with 3 bulbs. I use candle bulbs at 40w each so they are not too high a watt. Every few months usually a bulb sparks, makes a popping noise and blows. The rest are fine and ive just been replacing the blown one.
Last night as soon as i turned on the switch i heard a pop and saw a spark and switched the fixing off. Today i have gone to replace the dead bulb but the other bulbs were dead too, replaced them all with new bulbs and it still wont turn on so i think there is something wrong with the light!
Any advice please and will this be expensive to fix!
You have a short in the fixture., or the switch.
Ask a friend who's good with the electric to pop over, fix them dinner, and see if they can fix the thingy.
