Can someone come up with a diet plan to help my boyfriend loose weight.
we went food shopping today [[me && his mom]] and got some things such as [apples, oranges, cantaloupe (2), watermelon, juicy juice, fresh peas, green peppers, && bananas] he works out Monday & Tuesday and Thursday & Friday. He is 225 pounds and is 5'5. He wants to be 170 by September 20th. With abs. Please help
Make sure the workouts are well rounded. It is essential to do both cardio and weights. As far as food goes, It looks like you have the right idea. If you don't already eat whole wheat products I suggest you start eating things like whole wheat bread. The abs shouldn't be too much of a problem, It's likely once he drops the weight they will be farely well defined, but do about 100 crunches before going to sleep, it doesn't have to be all at once, maybe 20 five times, or if possible do 50 twice. He is at the gym a lot so I'm guessing sleep isn't much of a problem, but it is good to get eight hours so your body has time to rest, giving you energy for an optimal workout.
As far as hydrating, it is probably best to drink just water and milk when not working out. When working out gatorade is the best for repleneshing electrolytes (which is as important as they make it seem), but it doesn't have to be as strong as they make it, you can buy gatorade in large amounts, and fill a water bottle with about 3/4 gatorade and 1/4 water. But water is good for the metabolism, so drink plenty of it. Just keep a calorie count and set a limit, like around 1700 a day if his target goal is 170 lbs.
