How do i burn a yankee Candle in an potpourri pot?
My mother in law gave me a potpourri pot for these wax candles that are called Yankee Candle (many different scents) And she never cleaned it out, so i was wondering if i had to clean it out to put a new one in? Also if i do have to clean it out,how do i do that? I've never used this before so i really don't know what i'm doing.
Plug it in and melt any remaining wax and pour it into a disposable wax cup and throw it a way after it hardens. Try to wipe out as much remaining residue as much as possible with a paper towel. Then you can try putting it into the freezer (after it cools) and see if you can get the rest of the wax to just flake off. You might want to try vegetable wax tarts in the future instead of paraffin wax tarts- the residue usually cleans up a lot easier with just hot soapy water.
