how to remove candle wax from walls and furniture?
My child knocked over a candle and now I have wax on my wall and a piece of furniture, what can use to remove the wax without causing damage to the furniture and wall
Ice it and use a plastic scraper (NOT METAL) to gently scrape it off. Wipe with a microfiber cloth to clean off remaining residue.
I don't know about the walls, but for carpet and furniture, if there is remaining wax residue after the ice and scraping, get a paper bag and place it over the residue. Then take an iron on low heat (no steam) and run it over the paper bag. The iron will melt the wax and the paper bag will absorb it. NOTE: do not move the paper bag when the iron is on it, you will smear the wax. Instead, lift the iron off, lift the bag straight up and if need be use a clean section of the bag. (I tear off the "used" portion so I don't run the risk of transfer). Then clean with a mild appropriate cleaner and dry with a microfiber cloth.
