Help, I need to paint over paneling and I want something unscented as I am very sensitive to smells.?
I have heard if you are painting over paneling you should first sand it a little and I've also heard that you don't have to sand it just use a primer coat. What is the correct way and can anyone recommend a (Green low VOC) paint? Thanks.

Zinsser makes an ultra low odor primer called Bulls Eye Water Based, Not the Bullseye 1-2-3. For topcoating, Pittsburgh Paints pure performance line has 0 voc's. I have seen many paneling jobs that were painted & looked fine, just make sure the surface is clean from wax, polishes etc before priming.
